Summer Meeting Will Address Challenges Facing Casino Industry, July 7-10 in Boston

BOSTON – Amid unprecedented challenges of competition from video gaming terminals, unregulated gaming devices, and the rise of online gaming – as well as from inflation – the outlook for land-based casino industry will be a focal point when the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) convenes its Summer Meeting, July 7-10 at the Westin Copley Place.
 
As the only gaming conferences where the legislative decision-makers meet, the NCLGS semiannual meetings attract legislators, regulators, operators, suppliers, attorneys, lobbyists, media, and other stakeholders to discuss all aspects of regulated gaming. A Summer Meeting record of 49legislators from 20 states and Puerto Ricowill be among the more than 250 expected attendees at the Summer Meeting

Connecticut Representative Holly Cheeseman will chair the NCLGS Committee on Casinos to assess the outlook for the casino industry. Those presenting to the Committee include:

  • Louis Trombetta, Executive Director, Florida Gaming Control Commission
