NCLGS Meetings are the ONLY place where you can interact with legislative decision makers. These meetings are structured to encourage a variety of viewpoints and to allow our attendees and sponsors to meet informally with lawmakers.

"Educating legislators on gambling and its impact is essential - because illegal gambling exists in every state. By understanding best practices in regulation, lawmakers can better protect their citizens, strengthen integrity in the marketplace, and ensure that gaming is conducted responsibly and transparently."
- Juliann Barreto (COO, Spectrum Gaming Group, NCLGS Exec. Director)

The Meetings are designed to allow stakeholders and legislators to hear, share and discuss ideas to advance the common goal of promoting sound public policy.
The National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) serves two vitally important functions:
1.To help elected officials in states across the nation establish sound, effective gaming policies.
2.To educate those lawmakers as to what works, what doesn’t, and how they can develop and improve gaming policies in their own communities and states.
State legislators are empowered to make decisions that touch every facet of this important industry, from establishing tax rates and regulatory frameworks to determining the competitive landscape.
