LAS VEGAS – The National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) today announced a new collaboration with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas International Gaming Institute (IGI) to further expand NCLGS programming, content, research, and presentations at their 2022 and 2023 Summer and Winter annual meetings.

“This collaborative will combine the UNLV International Gaming Institute’s 25 years of gaming experience with NCLGS’ strong leadership on gaming issues and provide valuable enhancements to our conference programming and agendas,” said NCLGS President Keith Pickard, a Nevada Senator.

“The International Gaming Institute is excited to join forces with NCLGS as a resource to assist in making a positive difference and facilitate advancements within the gaming industry,” IGI Executive Director Dr. Bo Bernhard said. “For over a decade we have participated in the NCLGS meetings, and we are elated to take on this greater role.”

“NCLGS welcomes the IGI to our team, which will make this organization even more valuable to lawmakers across the United States,” said Michael Pollock, Managing Director of Spectrum Gaming Group, which is executive director of NCLGS.

NCLGS is primarily concerned with the proper regulation and best practices of the industry and does not promote or oppose gaming. The 2022 Summer Meeting will be held July 7 - 10 in Boston at the Westin Copley Place. Registration for the Summer Meeting will open in March.

NCLGS committee meetings and general sessions, which are open to all attendees, focus on all the critical issues facing gaming, from the expansion of sports betting, igaming and ilottery to taxation, compacts with tribal operators, and new land-based gaming operations.

As NCLGS grows, so does interest in sponsorships. Interested stakeholders can advance the NCLGS mission and effectively engage gaming’s decision-makers with a sponsorship of the Summer Meeting.
