2021 NCLGS Summer Meeting Set for
July 11 - 13 in Chicago

LN Chicago
CHICAGO – The Summer Meeting of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) will be held July 11-13 at the InterContinental Magnificent Mile, with dozens of lawmakers from throughout North America participating.

Nevada Sen. Keith Pickard, president of NCLGS, attributes the expected turnout to the pent-up demand for information and the growing number of legislative and regulatory policy issues that elected officials will be confronting in coming months.

“NCLGS is committed to helping our legislative members identify and pursue best practices, and our semi-annual meetings have proven to be quite effective at cross-pollenating ideas from coast to coast, in both existing and emerging gaming states,” Pickard said.
NCLGS meetings draw a wide variety of stakeholders, including legislators, regulators, operators, suppliers, law firms, lobbyists and media who meet to discuss a wide variety of viewpoints. NCLGS is committed to following state and federal COVID guidelines for public meetings, and such guidelines are expected to allow for an effective, in-person meeting by July.

Committee meetings and general sessions, which are open to all attendees, will focus on all of the critical issues facing gaming, from the expansion of sports betting, igaming and ilottery to taxation, compacts with tribal operators and new land-based gaming operations.
